24 Hour Sexual Assault Hotline: 1-800-625-1414
SAFE's mission is to provide education to the community, advocacy for individuals and families, and empowerment to heal from sexual violence and other traumatic experiences.
Volunteering offers the chance to connect with interesting people from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for making a difference in their community. Whether retirees or students, people from different cultures or professions, meeting new people can add an extra level of fulfillment to the experience of volunteering.
SAFE provides a range of free services including policy development, Safe Bars training to prevent alcohol-related sexual violence, education programs for community organizations and schools, and professional training on issues surrounding sexual abuse, harassment, assault, and trauma. These services are tailored to meet the needs of the organizations and individuals they serve, and are available in South-Central Illinois.
These resources offer support and information on sexual assault, abuse, trafficking, domestic violence, suicide prevention, and internet safety. They include organizations such as RAINN, Polaris Project, and Netsmartz.
Join our growing community of volunteers and make an impact in the lives of survivors of assault and their families. There are numerous ways to help out.
Consider contributing as little or as much as you can. Every dollar donated goes toward keeping our programs.
